Built for long-range shooting and hunting, the Sako 90 Varmint offers rigidity and stability for pinpoint accuracy. The free-floating heavy stainless steel barrel guarantees that you stay on target round after round. Fluting on the barrel gives a distinct appearance while also allowing heat to dissipate. The rigid and stiff birch-laminate stock with raised Monte Carlo comb and wide-bottom forend enables a perfect shooting posture when using high-magnifying optics. The Sako 90 Varmint truly is the perfect Varmint rifle for the dedicated Hunter.
Cold hammer forged (CHF) barrels offer out-of-the-box accuracy that lasts longer. All Sako 90 rifles feature match-grade cold hammer forged barrels. The SAKO 90 Varmint comes with a heavy fluted stainless barrel and is also available with muzzle thread.
The rigid receiver ensures repeatable accuracy and smooth operation.

Offers users a choice between five different weight-of-pull settings without disassembling the rifle. Trigger blade position is also adjustable. A single-set trigger is available as an option for SAKO 90 Varmint.

The SAKO 90 Varmint stock features a raised cheek piece for optimal eye alignment with a scope. A wider forend and slightly vertical pistol grip ensure optimal ergonomics when shooting from a prone position and on a support.
The SAKO 90 is available in S and XS action sizes which cover the most-used varmint calibres.

I purchased my new Sako 90 VLS 308 2 months ago; 1st trip to the range to site in my Zeiss V6 3-18 x55 Scope resulted in a 1” group, 2nd trip to the range resulted in .75” group. 1st hunting trip out west past Cuttaburra, close to QLD/NSW border, it was wet, real wet, so pigs were spread out, 2nd night out in the Polaris Ranger hugging the fence line adjoining the Eastern boundary creek, 1st one large Boar at 150m, a racking shot into right hand rear 1/4, the 150gn Winchester soft point right in the boiler room, he hit the ground, over & out ! What’s more to say except the 2nd boar was almost copycat & about 3/4 sized. I’m extremely pleased with all aspects of the Sako 90 VLS & I love the adjustable trigger function, it’s on 3. Quality always rises to the top, the only other rifle I’ve owned that comes close is my Sako 85 in .204.
