Beretta Australia is excited to announce today that one of their most popular brands Tikka, has officially launched the much-anticipated Tikka T1x MTR – their first rimfire rifle – at the International Shot Show in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The T1x MTR (multi-task rimfire) is Tikka’s first rifle in .22LR and 17 HMR and features a medium-contour 20″ barrel for the 17HMR and a 16″ compact and optimum 20″ barrel for the 22LR – all with threaded muzzles.
A major feature of the T1x is that the barrel profile on each model provides all the benefits of heavy-barrel-accuracy, but without the added weight. And with the same bedding surfaces and footprints of the Tikka T3x rifles, the T1x action can be installed on many aftermarket stocks, features that add to its versatility and value. What’s more, the T1x stock can be fitted with any of the T3x accessory grips – front and/or pistol! Also of note, T1x’s zero-creep trigger mechanism is same high-quality unit found on Tikka’s centerfire rifles, improving confidence and accuracy. And the T1x comes complete with a smooth stainless-steel bolt and 10-round magazine in both calibres.
Weighing-in at between 2.4 & 2.6kgs, the T1x boasts the feel and balance of Tikka’s centerfire line, but in a smartly-priced, small-bore option for fans of Tikka hunting rifles. With the first shipments due to arrive in April, the T1x’s projected RRP is $949, but be sure to check with your dealer for any price fluctuations.
